Perform lead fluxing the easy way. Use Frankford Arsenal 1# CleanCast Lead Fluxing Compound instead of rosin paraffin tallow bullet lube or other homemade concoctions. Fluxing is an important and necessary component of bullet casting. Depending on the source of your lead alloy inclusions of dirt sand sludge oxidation and lubricant residues can be present. Fluxing is a treatment that separates these inclusions making them float to the top. The result is cleaner casting and better bullets. A small amount is all you need to prepare up to a 20 pound lead pot for your bullet production.
